710n settings question

I had a few questions about the 710n, I'm trying to get the settings right but having some trouble. I've read a couple of reviews that complain about the "greys" and in my experiences so far I agree. Surfing the internet has become a little annoying as on many backgrounds the text looks jagged and has an odd shadowy look to it - most times I'll just surf on my 2nd display (19" NEC crt). Another problem I'm having is that a lot of text fields don't show up very well because they are slightly lighter or darker than the white background a lot of pages have - another thing that makes it a bit annoying.

I'm not sure if it's an issue of contrast/brightness, or something about gamma or what - but I've tweaked all of the settings a bit to try and get it right. Games seem to do just fine, I'm very happy with the sharp presentation of the textures and whatnot though could anyone share their settings or thoughts so that I might be able to improve my experience?


FYI - I'm running the display at 1280x1024 75hz (native res)
 
I just got the 710n today and I've been experiencing the same problems. I've played around with the settings and changed the following settings:
Fine = 100
Sharpness = 56

This seems to help, but I don't think it is perfect. I've aso noticed that some of my icons in my tool tray seem VERY grainy and distorted. Everything was fine with my old monitor so I'm uncetain why I am experiencing this problem now. Any ideas?

Also, text on the internet and in my favorites folder is some other font. I'm sure I can change this setting, but haven't gotten that far yet. Any recommendations?
