$700 build

ok, next month, around the first or second week, I plan on building a new PC, and this is what I think I might go with, this is strictly a request for comments/changes.

I game at 1680x1050 and I do not live near a MC or Frys. Budget isn't unlimited but I'm thinking up to $700 is about my limit for now. I'd like to build a better PC with a 5850 and go i5-7 and all that, but I'm thinking it's better to hold off on that and go with a budget build for now since there's not much out there that requires all that power (yet . . .)

I mostly game and browse the web, mostly play CS Source, TF 2, CoD 4, some Dragon Age, and so on and so forth.

I will be overclocking and unlocking the cores on the chip.

About the only thing I would change is that case, rofl, it looks sad, but since it's a combo deal I threw it in there.

Personally I'd like the Antec 1200 case, but it's kinda expensive . . . would add $100 to my build

that looks like a solid case there shiro, the shipping on it sucks though, but that's still a good deal, i'd just be basically paying $10 less than it's retail, that's not bad.

brings me to $701

not bad at all, plus it has a side window

no other comment on the rest of the components?

I think for $700 it seems like it'll do well in games for the next year or 2

cha it was free shipping yesterday.

Looks solid but also look to get to aftermarket cooler. Hopeful we will see another bundle like Asus 790x + P2 955 + 4 GB Ripjaws again soon.

you know I did realize something

I could wait untill build time approaches and see what they have for free shipping then.

Or I could buck up and get that Antec 1200.

I'm kind of wanting a full size tower so I can re-use it over and over in future builds.

Full size towers seem very futureproof.

I down sized from full tower. mini-ATX case is happy medium for me. Full towers are a pain to move around.
