I have a 80 gb samsung hdd. So the today I install a copy of xp on it. After the installation was done I upgraded to sp2 and install my mobo and vid card drivers. After that I ran everest home edition to check out my system specs and after that It said my hdd was only 11 gb big and only has 200 mb free. I thought this was an error so I went to my computer to check the hard drive and it says its only 11 mb big. Does anyone know what caused this?

Incorrect formatting maybe ?
I know sometimes with certain older versions of Fdisk, if you used it, it would format up to a max of varying sizes..

i think the only way is to reformat again. Or maybe a program like Partition Magic would work. Not too familiar with this problem. I'm pretty sure Partition Magic would work though. I remember seeing an option in there letting you "reclaim" the missing part of your HD.

dam 70 bucks!!!! Anyone know if there is a program like that that is for free?
