I mean one that uses red/white connectors for the audio input, not digital coax/hdmi/optical.
 
You might be able to find a Denon AVR-1910 for $350. I got mine new for $368 back in July.

The 1910 is the 2009 model and has the 8 channel analog inputs that you are looking for. The AVR-1911 is the 2010 model and does NOT have these analog inputs.
 
If you can't find the Denon 1910 (or it's twin the 790) within your budget, you could always goes for its younger brother, the 1610 (or twin 590). The AVR-1610/590 also has 8-channel analog inputs, and can be had new right now from amazon for less than $350.

I didn't recommend the AVR 1610 because it's really only a 5.1 receiver. It only has 5 amplifiers in it.

If you want to use if for 7.1, you have to connect 2 more amps to the two pre-outs.
 
Whoops, forgot about the 1610/590 being 5.1 only - I was simply looking at it from the input side. Good catch, and my bad on that one!
