I have a Pioneer Kuros 60" plasma panel and I just built my dream PC with Titan X graphics cards, and all is good in the world till I had the idea to hook them up

I bought a "High speed HDMI type A 19pin cable - pro gold RED range Ibra 6.0m" cable as it seems to get good reviews and hooked them up but I am getting constant tears in the image and sometimes its very pronounced in the middle third of the screen...

Now I am not sure why as I thought HDMI cables could be many meters long (15m iirc) so why it no worky, anyone able to guide me to why I am having issues, its not like I am playing BluRays or anything just mpeg4s and avi's....

Cables are pretty much cables, but on that note do you have another hdmi cable that you can try.
What do you find when you google the issue. My guess is you will find the fix in the Nvidia Control Panel somewhere.
There are a lot of AV folks in the [H]ardForum that can help, someone will know the answer.

I have a 25 ft. one that I have running to my projector. No issues. Try either another cable or try hooking it to a different source.

HDMI cables are not created equal and there is zero error correction on the data stream. If the cable is dropping bits, it shows up as a variety of artifacts on the screen. Try another cable, it took me three cables to get a HDMI cable that could go 15 feet to my projector without artifacting.

This could be even simpler though... Do you have VSYNC enabled? Make sure that is locked when outputting to a large TV. I can see VSYNC OFF tearing like crazy on a large TV. Make sure it is set correctly in the game and the Nvidia Control Panel.

OP For best performance HDMI 6ft or less is best, but tearing could be a vsync issue as already stated
