Okay I just realized this.

As I was cleaning out my 800d to get ready to sell to anyone here who wants it because I just ordered a CL TH10, I placed the 6990 in my older smaller case and placed it under water as it supposed to be.

Now this little case is way quieter and I notice that when my 6990 fires up under load it makes very soft electronic hissing noises, kinda like you can hear the frequency or something.

Its a power color AX 6990 LCS (Liquid Edition).

Just wondering if anyone else who knows if GPUs are supposed to make frequency noises, or if they do and not necessarly supposed to is it safe?

I guess you dont realize or ever hear these things because most GPUS are on Air and stupid loud.

Thanks if you can help.

Edit** I also tried placing the 6990 on it's very own Corsair AX1200 with NOTHING plugged into it except the 6990, 100% clean 80 Gold, 1200watts to feed it filtered and clean and still sounds like coil whine. Is coil whine bad??
