Can i just use a regular cable / adapter? I have a dp monitor, 2 plugged in via DVI, and 1 will be dp, will this work for eyefinity?
 
I believe that you can use a regular mini-dp to dp cable and it will work fine for eyefinity. I haven't done it, but from everything I've seen, that should work fine.
 
Yes. Only when you need active adapters to convert from DP to another output. This is just a mini connector to full connector of the same signal.
 
OK! it worked, now I need to know, I setup an eyefinity group, but I have to redo it every time I want to use eyefinity vs just 3 desktops??(preferred when not gaming)
 
I do "Win" + P and choose duplicate for Eyefinity and extended for extended Desktop. The fist time you cycle you will only have 2 displays in extended, just redo your extended desktop settings and it should work that way consistantly.

win + p does not give me eyefinity options =p is there somewhere to set it?

Switch between extended and duplicate mode. There isn't an "Eyefinity" setting. Duplicate mode will put you back in Eyefinity mode, Extended will be standard 3 screen mode.
 
welll! it looks like DA2 is not playable @ 5760x1080 with a single 6970 and full gfx :p

looks like crossfire is in my future ~.~
 
Yeah, I've been running portrait the last several days...its pretty nice. Gawd the AMD eyefinity interface is just awful though...presets don't work, rotate option disappears randomly...ugh
