ok well i ordered a h100 from corsair and now im thinking about water cooling just my 2 gpus would a single 120mm radiator handle 2 6950 2gb flashed to 6970's

what would u suggest for cooling just my 2 video cards?
im using an nzxt phantom case and my h100 is going toi be installed to the top of the case so i onyl have a single 120 up front a single 120 in the back and a single 120 in the bottom unless I build some kind of external radiator setup

well how bout this its thin enough to put on the right hand side of my case behind wewre my hdds are located there are 2x 120mm fans blowing through my case from left to right any ideas if this would work . I would have to custom do a way to attack it infront of the screen mesh but it an be done pretty easily.

Get a Corsair H80 or something similar and use that to cool your CPU, and use a 2x120 radiator for the graphics cards, where it's actually needed.

A 2 x 12cm rad will be required for 2 GPU's. GPUS tend to run at or near 100% load with candy turned way up. CPU's NEVER EVER run 100% unless running benches.

You can easily cool a CPU with a single rad all day long. GPUs not so much. 1 CPU even slightly overclock = 10w -95w +/- a few depending on load. 2 GPU = 600w +/- a few depending on the card usually full time.

Ciao!

so the tranny cooler will or wont work to keep my temps down on my 2 gpus its bigger than 2x120mm

I'd suggest a simple 120x2 radiator to cool your GPUs. I'd also suggest you mount it on the back of the case, outside the case using a Swiftech RadBox.

I have used RadBoxes forever, you don't need to worry about the radiator fitting inside the case, and all the warm air is outside the case as well.

Or you could use a 120x3 radiator and cool the GPUs and you CPU.

i have small kids in my house that like to play with my case so i really dont want to mount the rad ouside my case. and i dont wanna go with a 3x120 because i just spent money on an h100. Do they make a 2x200mm rad if they do i might go with it and build a full system water cooling setup.

10-4.
my cat used to like to play with my fans, until.....well, I bought fan grills and she's much happier.
Most rads are pretty standard 120mm size, I may have seen a 140, but that's about it.

Sell the H100.

Sell the H100. You should be able to get a decent return on it, since it is mostly out of stock everywhere.

still wondering if that tranny cooler i posted would be enough to cool my 2 gpus ??

I agree with selling/returning the H100. You could do 4.5ghz reliably on your 2600k with a good dual fan air cooler...a single radiator water cooler like the H70 or H80 would be more than enough. Then you would have room to put a 240 up top in your case.

The trans coolers are cheap enough that you could try one for fun.

ok well i sold the h100 and am gonna go full scaler water cooling will 2x 200mm radiators be enmough to cool my cpu and 2 gpu's im looking at Phobya Xtreme 200mm Radiator x2 and a The Innovatek Eheim HPPS i High Power as far as the water blocks go im still looking prolly a DD for my cpu and 2x The Heatkiller GPU-X³ 69X0 Full Coverage Water Block for my gpus.as far as what tubing size im unshure suggestions would be apreciated

3/8" ID 5/8" OD for your tubing if you want/need good flexibility, 1/2" ID 3/4" OD if you like the looks of large tubing running through your case.

I would recommend the XSPC Rasa CPU block. And make sure to get a reservoir and a silver killcoil and/or PT Nuke.

ok well i think im going with a single 5 1/4in bay res something all acrylic. I like the look of the 1/2in tubing. Now as far as a killcoil can i out that in my res of does it need to be in the tubing.. Also isnt it just silver can i drop a couple 1/4 ounce silver ingots in my res to do the same thing. I have lots of silver

As long as the silver is in the flow of water, anything is fine. Just make sure it doesn't get sucked into your pump, or block the flow of water.
