6950 or GTX570?

Of course I'll be flashing to 6970. Which is better? Link to benches? I really like the allure of 2GB of vram.

Running 1920x1200 in a new SB system, not the sig system below.

I don't see any clarity in that forum post. With the ability to flash 6950-6970 it really makes the decision much more difficult.

Get the cheapest one...the 6970 and GTX 570 are like within 2% of each other overall

Unless you are going with a 30" or multimonitor gaming go 570.

<Argument that ignores CPU bottlenecks>
If you're willing to flash an HD6950 (and you succeed), HD6950. It's cheaper.
Otherwise, GTX570. It's $20 cheaper than an HD6970, and not much slower (a couple of percent, won't show up in the real world). You will of course be stressing the PSU pretty hard with a GTX570, as with a Sandy Bridge CPU you'll be looking at around 330W out of the unit in heavy load. Not much out of the 600W total, but it's an OCZ unit, so you should not really be using any more than half its maximum output in case you break it.
