6950 low furmark

So I saw another thread on this from a while ago, and while i know furmark isnt the best benchmarking tool, mine is ABYSMALLY low, and im very concerned.

I have a sapphire 6950 which i have unlocked to 6970, and im getting a score of 2600 at 1280x1024, on both bios settings (unlocked, and stock). what is going on??

Do that, I would never use Furmark as a proper bench test. The resolution for a start is tiny.
 
so i ran 3dmark11 basic and got 4389. Is that low due to the rest of my system, or is it the card? The scores im seeing online for this same card are around 7000, but 3dmark said this score is "comparable" for similar systems...
 
Your CPU is quite slow as they go these days, so that won't help, but that 3dmark score is pretty reasonable. You would never see 7000 with a single 6950. The correct score for a 6950 flashed to a 6970 is around 5000, so getting 4389 is a bit low, but not excessively low. The CPU may well have something to do with that.
 
As stated above, 7000 3dmarks is not achievable with a single 6950. With a 4 GHz 920 and a single card, I was around 5.5k, and am now around 9.3k with two cards.

BTW, fully unlocking to 6970 can be damaging for the card over time. One of my cards nearly got it by doing that. If you are really keen on it, just unlock the shaders.
 
7000, no way a single card. My 6950 has the 6970 shader unlock and is overclocked as well as a overclocked CPU, best score was 5672 for me and a single card.
