I went to canadacomputers.com yesterday to pick up my HD6970 and they still had 6 of those left in stock at the Mavis/Eglinton location. Although it is not reported on the website (at least, not the last time I looked) they do have HD6950's in stock because the salesguy brought one out to me by accident. Didn't ask how many, but he did say they were $319. The HD6970 was a bit more at $399 but the price is going to go nowhere but up from here on, so buy now and enjoy if you want it!
 
If they go up in price to due to lack of availability, the GTX570 becomes a more attractive choice by far. The reason why that happened to the 5xxx series was a lack of competition at the time.

It's tempting for me to jump on one now, but until I have my Sandybridge setup sorted out I'm willing to wait a bit. :D
