6950 + 2 monitors question

This is probably a stupid question. My rig is running two 6950's. Might be overkill, but they were on sale when I bought them.

I'm currently using a single Dell 3007WFP at 2650x1600. I want to add another 3007WFP at the same res (I had it sitting in the corner). How do I accomplish this? The 3007WFP only has a single DVI-D port, and the 6950 has DVI-D and DVI-I (and my understanding is that DVI-I is a combo of DVI-D and DVI-A).

So if I plug monitor 1 into the top port with a dual link DVI-D cable, and the second into the botton port with another dual link DVI-D cable, I should be good. Testing this, I can only get the second monitor to run at a lower resolution. How do I get the second monitor to run at the correct resolution?

After additional research, I'm starting to think that I cannot run my two 3007's off of a single card. That would leave me with the following options since these monitors don't have DP's:

1. Use a DVI-D Dual Link Male to HDMI Female Adapter
2. Turn off Eyefinity, and use the second card

Does this seem like the only two ways? If so, are there any adapters that you all would recommend?
 
I have 3 30" monitors plugged into my HD6950. You need to get a dual-link DVI to DisplayPort adapter to get the second 30" monitor working. They are about $100 each.
