after the titan stupidity. looks like 7970 on newegg is on the rise.

sapphire oc was $365 after MIR.
now is $395 after MIR.

xfx was $380 after MIR.
now is $415 after MIR.

That's ?100 more then it was a few days ago. So glad I got mine before that. Got mine for ?739:D

I have noticed this. It's been happening for a while. When I was buying an msi 7970 power edition. The peice was going up $10 a day. So I bit before it raised too far.
 
Well since I thought the consenus was that no new parts were coming out for atleast another six months why wouldn't they increase prices (at least on the retailer side)
 
It's because AMD is prolonging the 8 series cards probably until late this year or next year and Nvidia's latest and greatest is a 30% performance increase from current gen top-tier cards but with a $1000 price tag.
