6870 vs 5870

It seems like the 5870 is better single card and the 6870 really comes alive in CF.

Yes, they are signifficantly cheaper. 30 - 100 cheaper, depending on models and deals.

I saw and XFX 5870 for 269.99 after rebate on newgg. I think that's the lowest price so far. You can peak up a 6870 for 230s witht he current 10% discount.
 
So I know 6870s scale better, but in crossfire are 2 5870s better or worse than 2 6870s?
