6870 pictures

looks pretty nice.....but can you do the two DVI's and HDMI at once ?
 
These are the mid-rang eof the line up.....so its probably that 1 gig is all it gets.....like the 460 maxing at 1 gig.....just a thouhgt ;)

Exactly, this will keep the price down. Lets just hope we get a sweet bang for the buck card. If not I will just grab a 5 series pending price drops.

From what is still circulating 6870 is the top mid range part like a 5830. the 6950/6970/6990 are supposed to be the high end. It's annoying this keeps flip flopping around but from articles released today (just 11 days before launch) that is said.

AMD needs to try and simplify their product naming. It would after all make things much easier for the consumer.
 
This can't support 5 monitors. The hdmi is shared with one of the dvi ports. You'd need another clockgen to support more dvi signals. If they did that then we'd see 4 dvi/hdmi outputs.

it might be possible if they were able to have 3 clock generators in the new hardware... then decided to add 2 more miniDP to make it a total of 5...

but yeah, its more likely only a total of 4...
