I personally have gotten mine to 1000 core 1210 mem as it currently sits.
Reference based card, only difference is Asus has a Aluminum cover vs the plastic one. Reference voltage. Using ATI overdrive, fan is set to auto.
What kind of clocks are you getting, and what software are you using? I have heard The msi afterburner software works with all the cards, but what about the voltage tweak? I'd like to see if I can push it a bit further. ATI overdrive stops at 1000 core, is there something else i can use to get higher than this?
I'd like to play with the card a bit more, namely remove the cover and install a 120mm fan on the heatsink, and voltage tweak if possible and see what kinda results i can come up with. Seems there isn't much benefit from increasing the memory clocks to much, but increasing the core clock does make a decent difference.
