In terms of quality and reliability , how good are the HIS product?

They are probably just as dependable as any other 6850 if they haven't touched the reference design. As far as support, I've seen them comment on the user reviews on Newegg. Never dealt with them personally, though.

That said, got my order in for the Gigabyte 6850.. should be a nice upgrade from my 8800GTS512.

yep same here got me a gigabyte on the way as well.. cant wait for it...

Hmmm, I have had a HIS 4850 for 2 years without issue. Thought about getting a 6850 from them but I guess I'll go with Gigabyte, don't like the name as much but what does name matter anyways if the support is good? :p

what is the best to clean out a previous drive for graphic? should i use registrycleaners or simply uninstall the drive from add/remove.

I usually just uninstall the driver which is usually good enough but if you have any problems afterwords you can always run driver cleaner and reinstall your drivers.

I have the Gigabyte card and its the bomb. Runs quite cool, never got above 60C in gaming, not counting Furmark but who runs Furmark all the time anyway.

I am still playing the waiting game on a card. I have seen some roundups and the Asus 6850 had the best overclock. Of course that's the card you cant find.

Out of curiosity- how loud are the fans on it?

+1 Hoping for more user reviews on this, it's the card I'm looking at getting if the cooling is up to the task of near-silent (or at least lots quieter than the blower heatsink on my 5770 was)

Whats the deal with the egg not even having the Asus listed. I have seen it in stock at other places, but higher then the $179 price.

They probably just haven't gotten any in stock for one reason or another. Kinda weird they don't even list it with Auto-Notify. I'm sure they'll have it eventually though, but when?

No kidding- its calling my name!

Honestly this is the one card I wanted out of the 6800 series after seeing what it can do after a few reviews I read. Though I want to hold out and see what Cayman brings. If I don't want Cayman, I bet the 6800 series will have a price drop by then. Be it MIR or holiday deals.

I'm betting on at least free shipping at newegg sometime in november once the initial buying rush dies down. I doubt we'll see any real pricedrops until next year though.

Its pretty quiet, but at first when you install the ATI drivers and CCC by default it will set to 70% and its quite loud, but when you turn it down to like 20% its quiet, and by doing this I did not notice any temperature increase.

I had a 4870 from them thats lasted several years. It was one of the few in stock, and it was a reference design, but i never had any issue with it Of course, you can have problems or not with a card from any manufacturer so who knows. They don't have a rep for great customer service like some companies, but AFAIK they don't have a rep for terrible service either

Finally, i received the card, finished the installation, ran into problem but it all good now hopefully. Whats the first thing i should do in term of how it's running and details. I am already running the latest version of the driver. Another quick question, I have corsair 550watt power supply , is it sufficient for 6850? Is there any way of measuring how much watt it's using ?
it's feels so good upgrading from geforce 7200 to powerful card

Should be enough power easily.

I don't know if i am expecting too much or not, but my fps are 40- n higher especially in Battlefield 2 bad company. Even at a higher fps, sometimes i feel there's a slight shutter in some part. Maybe, i am just making a big deal about it. Just want to make sure everything is going smooth. In Catalyst control center, 3D section, should keep it as default or change?
Btw, Y can't i go beyond 1680x.1080 for screen resolution?
