well i was a little bored so i'd just like to share some of my observations on my own sets of 680's when switching from the regular factory cables to monsterxp cables. iunno how it would work on other people's sets

with the monsterxp cables there is a difference. a very small difference but there is one. the overall sound is more balanced. the highs aren't as high but you do get a little more mid (albeit 680's lack a lot of mid already)

well yea that's about it. a random post just to kill some time at work

you should have just picked up some rca etc 16 gauge wire at raidoshack or something, would give you the same "quality" monsterxp = ripoff

That's nice if all you require is approximately 50 feet of wire, since Radioshack only sells by the spool, but if not you can save money with custom lengths of Monster cables. Around here Monster XP costs a mere 2 cents a foot more than RS. Hardly what I'd call a ripoff.

I got my monster cable XP 16 gauge at more than half price off from a friends employee discount. It made a huge difference on my Klipsch speakers.
