I need to decide what card to get there both about the same price wise the ATI9800pro 256mb is $265 while the 6800 128mb is $280 (newegg) What i need to know is what card is going to last me the longest i hate having to upgrade every 6 months will one of these last me atleast a year? If i had the money for a 6800Ultra i would get it bot its come to one of these becuase thats all the money i have.

Get the card that came out 1 month ago rather than the one that came out 1-1 1/2 years ago
;)

Yeah never thought of it that way anyway its pretty clear the 6800 is a better choice

EDIT: Now I have been reading people getting bottlenecked by there CPU and other things
would my system beable to fully support a 6800nu

Asus P4P8X
512mb 3200 Kingston
P4 2.6 HT

Yes it will be able to fully support it, but I can't say the same with the GT/Ultra versions.
BTW what card do you currently have?

burn that one and post pics

(remove it from your pc first)

Yep, your card is kinda crappy, but your system should run smoothly in most games if you get the vannila 6800, I just upgraded from an Radeon 9550 (Came with PC), to a Geforce 6800GT and the performance gains are incrudable.
