I am looking to buy an AGP card for 200-250, and both of these are in that range.

I can't find any reviews for the 6800LE, people seem to say it is for the OEM market, but it is freely available online.

I'm not too interested in unlocking pipes on the 6800LE. When I finally have time to mess with those things, I just want to play games. :)

Wasn't it decided that since the 6600GT is only a 128bit card it barely makes use of the better RAM while since the 6800 is a 256bit card it uses it's slower RAM to the fullest? Is there even much of a difference?

I've always wondered why they put the better RAM on the slower card that doesn't make good use of it and the slower RAM on the faster card that can make use of it. Doesn't make much sense to me.

I would go with the 6800le. But I would also say save a little bit more and get a 6800nu and softmod it. They are more but just save a little longer :).

Agreed in full. Sell something real fast or don't eat lunch for a few days or something. Steal money from your employer. Ok maybe not that last one. But yeah, save a bit and get the straight 6800 instead.

ignore the 6800LE - they're overpriced and cost nearly as much as a un-crippled 6800.

The 6800NU is, as is to be expected, better than the 6600GT. If you have the money & feel OK spending it, it's a better choice. If you're aready squeemish about spending $200 on a card, the extra $50-75 might just be more than you're willing to do, in which case, the 6600GT is still going to make you v.happy (as long as you don't have any friends with 6800s ;) )
