6800gt vs 8600gt

So I bought a BFG 8600GT OC for $110 used but I got the warranty, and I was wondering if this was a WISE decision in replacing an old XFX 6800GT. I can see the 6800GT's age when I play Medal of Honor: Airborne and that made me sad.
So I believe I made a good decision, but I need to hear from you guys.
 
I figured as much... just sad and kinda weirded that the 8600GT performs so much better than the 6800GT and the price difference is so large...
for the price paid back then for the 6800GT and the price I would have paid for a new 8600GT...
and the fact that the 8600GT doesn't use a 6 pin pci-e power plug.
 
6800GT isnt that bad, it got me 6030 3d05 marks (430/1130) with my single core opteron, it does SM3.0, plays games of th era and some of todays dx9 games pretty well. I think the 6800GT would kick the 8600GT in the face when it comes to issues relating to the memory bus.
 
Should I keep the 6800GT and build a side box for gaming or sell it to some guy, who seems to want it, for $60?
