Okay, so here's the deal. I do a stock run of 3DMark05 with my new BFG 6800GT. I pull off a 4832. Now, I overclock it to about 420/1000. I get 4841. Interesting... I then overclocked my 2D clock rates (which usually are always stock) to 420/1000 and BAM! 5252 in 3DMark05. What gives?!
The RivaTuner temperature/clock rate monitor doesn't show a clock rate increase when entering a game (thus not entering 3D mode). So basically, there are two possibilities, either something is preventing my card from going into 3D mode (which I think is the case) OR something is preventing me from OC'ing my 3D mode, therefore RivaTuner's clock rate monitor is simply wrong.
Any suggestions? I'm using the 66.72 WHQL drivers, my system specs are in my sig
Any help would be appreciated!!
