6800GTs run very hot. Mine got all the way up to 90C under full load with stock cooling, but then the maximum temp that these chips could take, according to the nVidia control panel, is 127C.

I've gotten 63-65 deg. C at stock speeds. I have an EVGA 6800 GT PCI-E video card.

According to the NV control panel, mine is at 57C idle and never goes above 65C at load. This is with an ambient temp of 45C.

I think it got as high as 83ºC under full load (running rthdribl for 30 minutes)
