Hey, whats up? I wanted to know what people thought about flashing there 6800GT PCIe cards. Most people would think its the same, but its not. Right now i have a NVsilencer5 on my 6800GT PCIE card and it clocked at 430/1150 24/7..........with a clock like that, i figured I could probably go higher with extra volts.....the bios flash would give me. But, the PCIe version isnt the same, it has the bridge chip underneath the core. Has ANYONE done a flash on there 6800GT PCIe card? I tried flashing it like you would a AGP 6800GT, but it wouldnt do it. Any thoughts?

No one seems to know anything about this on any site??? Am i the only person with a 6800GT PCIe card????

Problem is that not alot of 6800Ultra's in PCI-E are available to the general public. Therefore getting a BIOS for one could prove difficult.

u dont need an ultra bios to flash a GT, in fact, it may not be a good idea (hardware is different after all). Someone else simply came out with idea to modify existing bios to raise voltage to the core but apparently it doesn't work for pci-e version. U prolly need to update ur flashing program, nvidia bound to have a pci-e compliant flasher by now. The question is where? :D

Well, thanks for the info, im clueless about this. Ive flashed my 9800pro all the time and i even flshed my old 5900ultra card.......its that PCIe 6800 cards are no where and im gonna have to wait for people to come up with a way to flash them.

Ha ha.......It worked! I now have a 6800Ultra in my display tab and i can bring my overclock to (so far anyway) 440/1150. My old clock was at 425. This rules, my temps are the same as well. I have the NVsilencer5 on it, and after running 3 3dmark2003 sessions my load was 66C. Thanks abunch Jmag....i owe u!

No prob... I had that link on the back burner... I was planning on boosting up my cards, or at least trying it out eventually.

The good thing is that the 6800GT and 6800 Ultra in PCI-E form are exactly the same except for the memory.

Have you checked to see if the mem clock can go any higher?
