I was playing HL2 and all of a sudden I noticed artifacting and just plain messed up looking graphics. I was able to End Task HL2, the menus were corrupted as well. Once the game ended my dtop was set at 640X480 and 4 colors. I wasn't able to change the colors or res up at all. I restarted the computer and then was able to get it to come up and change the res and colors back to where they should be (1280X1024X32bit). After that I enabled my second monitor and then the primary monitor stopped working. I reset the computer and then only my second monitor would work. Long story short I can only get one of the monitors to work at a time. If I plug them both in and then restart only one will work. Any idea's on what I can try would be greatly appreciated.
 
I just restarted my computer and I realized that both monitors work through the boot up but once the Windows logon screen comes up the primary monitor goes blank.
