6800GT Overclocking Problem

Ok i notice a problem in one of my friends VIDEO CARD he bought a week ago. The problem if when he Overclock its GT the results in the benchmarks go down. I really did not figure that out, i tried different drivers but the result was same at stock speed it gives you more score result then after Overclocking it.

Does it means it is not getting enough voltage or it is Video card.

Any help would be appreciate.

It could be that the card is overheating and so is scaling back to prevent damage. Try and run a tempature monitor in the background with benchmarking - like Rivatuner. Might help, hope so.
