I've had my Inno3D 6800GT a while now and i was just wondering what a nice safe overclock for this card would be? It currently idles at 55c and hits about 74c at full load with stock clocks of 350mhz core and 1000mhz ram.

@ fullload are quite big temperatures.

Well, bassicly how you would clock. Get yourself a clock program (RT, CoolBits, ...), and by step by step, increase for 5MHz. First find max core frequency, then go to RAM. Always try the settings in benchmarks, would say 3Dmark03 and 3DMark05, and some games, like D3, HL2, FarCry. When u hit artifacts, u must lower frequencys. But watch out for temperature!

Maybe u will hit a 400/1100 :D Maybe not even 360/1020. We really cant tell how much u will get and what is the safe clock. Only you can figure out this one.

Wish you safe overclocking.

In Doom 3, press ctrl-alt-key beneath escape to bring up the console.

Type 'timedemo demo1 usecache' without quotes

It'll tell you how many fps you hit at the resolution you are trying.
