so, in conclusion. they're roughly about equal? and each has their own pro's and cons? and it all comes down to your own preferences, wants, limits?

General consensus yes. The GT can clock to Ultra speeds, the XT to XT PE speeds. The arguements are raged day in day out on here for the pro's and cons.

Personnaly I'd say IF you can grab an XT or a Pro VIVO (and flash it) do that.
 
this poll is very close.

but i think i will be going with the x800xt. i believe the poll is like that because the people that have the 6800gt are voting for it because they have it. so im going on the information that was provided and the opinons.
 
okay, it all boils down to this:

if you can find a VIVO x800 that will take the XT PE perfectly, then by all means its a no brainer.

because that card will whip the stank out of ANY 6800 GT after its been soft modded.

however, if you cant find a VIVO card that will soft mod correctly, then I'd definately go with the GT.

No, you're not right about the drivers. This is what comes with the card:
