I may be in the wrong forum for this but I seem to be having an interesting problem. Doom 3 seems to be performing far under what I would expect for my system. Here are the specs...

P4 3.4 GHz c (northwood core) processor
1Gig corsair xms 400 mhz ram
bfgtech 6800 gt oc
2 wd rapor 10000 rpm drives in a raid 0 array

At 1600x1200 with no antialiasing and high setting I'm getting roughly 1 fps. It gets slightly better at medium quality but still about 5-10 fps.

Ive updated my video, audio, and various motherboard drivers and nothing seems to help.

Anyone else experiencing similar problems? Any suggestions?

running multiple monitors? anti-virus running? are you running an official version of D3? any programs running in the background that could tie up your hard drives?

yea that is strange you should get well into the double digits. I have no idea what could cause that low of a frame rate, unless you where running 5 instances of doom3 at once.
