6800gt freezes

i recently got my video card as an early christmas present. its a major improvement from my ti 4200. every thing works great but sometimes the game freezes for like 10-20 seconds during gameplay. I read that turning off Fast Write will fix the problem but i dont know where to turn it off. Can any 1 help me out?

Here are my Specs:
abit ic7-g
3.2 p4 ht
512 mb ddr400
bfg 6800gt (stock speed)
80gb western digital
windows xp sp2
 
the ic7-g doesn't have that option in the bios... gotta use rivatuner to do that.
