6800gt fan speeds...

I notice when I first turn on my computer, the video card fans are much louder and then once windows loads they are much lower. How can I keep the fan speed at max all the time?

I think it might be hardwired into the 6800, I guess if it's a 12 volt fan you could hook it up directly to your powersupply. You'll probably go deaf, so a nv silencer might be cheaper than a hearing aide(exagerating, but I found the idle reduced speed 6800 stock fan annoying enough.)

I highly recommend the NV 5 silencer for the 6800 GT. I have BFGtech 6800 GT OC and put one on and my temperatures at load dropped 15degrees Celcius. It's extremely quiet and I am happy as hell with it. Very easily installed. Just make sure you go out and spend the extra money to get the Artic Silver. It's heat transfer is amazing.

go to gainward site and download experttool. It controls the fan on their cards but works with the BFG card too...
