Hi, my card is an e-VGA 6800 ultra. I am using omega 61.77 drivers. I am not sure if it is a sound issue, however whenever i play a game, out of the blue the game locks up and loops the last sound played over and over and I can not get out of it unless I hard reboot it. So I reformated and got the lastest drivers for my mobo and sound, but this same problem still occurs. Prime 95 passes with out question as well as memtest. My audio is onboard AC97 realtek and my mobo is gigbyte GA-K8NSNXP-939. Could it be my psu not giving my card enough juice? I have a antec true430W and the card says it needs 480 watts however I read in an interview that you only need 480 w if you got many other things hooked up to the comp (I only have the card, hardrive, dvd rom, floppy, and mobo thats it). thanks for the input

Why are you using such an old driver set? Load up the 71.84's. I think your power supply is more than sufficient. I have the same PSU running a hydrocool, 5 HD the ultra etc....

Agreed. WHY would you use brand new chipset drivers, BIOS, etc and keep the oldschool 61.xx drivers? Uninstall those 61s and install a 7x.xx+ driver. I have had excellent result with my 68U and the latest 7x drivers.

because i heard many problems occur with the 7's will try the 7's and report back. the 61.77 were omega drivers. also just now my screen went all color static while playing a game. is this normal? anyway 71.84 is now done and will try them out

Have you used driver cleaner to get rid of the previous drivers before you slapped on the 7 series? If not, that could be the cause of your color static, that or those unlocked pipes are trying to tell you something
