6800 ultra fps dipping problems please help

Hi, I just upgraded to a pci express bfg 6800 ultra video card with the new asus nforce 4 sli mobo as well as new corsair ram.

My previous video card was a 6800 ultra agp (bought it when it came out =P).

I used windows x64 for each card running on a dell 42 inch plasma display.

With the agp card on the previous gigabyte mobo (amd fx53 cpu), I hardly got fps dips.

After upgrade I am gettin some heavy fps dips (150+ at times then suddenly goes down to 5 fps) in CS source. Could it be the nvidia 64 bit drivers or the upgrade?

I am using the latest drivers from nivida's website. Please help. Any tweak tricks, etc. welcomed. Thanks everyone.
 
drop the x64 version of windows, theres no benefits right now, wait till its actually useful, just get xp pro :)

but for the dipping on pci-e and not agp, i have no clue :(
 
if ur telling me that the x64 windows is causing me problems then I must do it, however if it is not then there is no reason to because I paid over a 100 bucks for it. There is one game that does and its far cry. That reminds me, I need to buy that game again (lost it while I moved recently) and test it out on my system.

Anyone else can help me with my fps dip issues? Thanks.

P.S. it only seems to happen in CS source. My other games are smooth as butter.

No clue, but with each update for CS:S the code seems to get worse and the smoothness seems to go away.
