Hello

I just recieved and installed my eVGA 6800 Ultra (very nice), but there's one issue I just noticed that I see no reason for, nor how to fix it....My monitor is capable of 75Hz at all resolutions (LCD), and the Ultra doesn't want to do this now....I find it hard to believe a 6800 Ultra can't do the job of my previous GF3 Ti200. Any helps would be appriciated. TIA

happened to me once... install monitor drivers and did u install ur i=videocard drivers??? haha

yeah, I installed my videocard drives, and my monitor drivers are still there from before.

When I try to override refresh, it resets back to the default of not doing it. Won't keep the setting for some reason.

Manually update the monitor driver through device manager before doing anything and make sure your 75Hz is actually there. However its an LCD so you I dont know if you will actually see a difference since the refresh rate of the panel is fixed?

Driver version, the ones your using might not sopport the 6800 series.

Try REFORCE, if you swap video cards or your monitor refresh rates have been overwritten.

I went from nVidia card to this one, used the disc eVGA provided (which uninstalled my old drivers, then installed theirs) then updated to 66.93. I'll try the hardware thing...kinda want this resolved :p

Nope...reinstalled with a driver from sony's site and still no go...makes no sense. And if I add a custom refresh rate in the NView area, that only works in 2D desktop...games still only run @ 60Hz (used Halo to check).

Any other ideas?

Just to confirm your running an LCD monitor?
Arnt LCD's fixed at 60Hz?
Unless your using analoge, DVI will give better results.
