6800 OC makes noise

I just got my BFG 6800 OC installed with a DD Maze4 and when I go into a 3D application (ie. games) the card makes a very quick sounding ticking noise.

Anyone experience this problem?
 
Ok well, the drivers didn't resolve the issue. It was just because I was only in 1024x768 res. Once I bumb it up to 1600x1200 the noise comes back.
It sounded like an electrical noise so I called BFG tech support and the tech said he never came across a problem like this and that if it sounds like an electrical pop noise then it could be a bad capaciter. Which makes sense.
The weird part is, is that when I'm in a game with a fps indicator turned on. The noise decreases and increases with speed as the fps goes up and down. As if the noise is ticking as the frames are being proccess. So very weird...
 
Are you sure the noise isn't coming out of your speakers/headphones and isn't soundcard related?
 
Nope, comes from the rear end of the card when doing anything high resolution related.
 
Yes but it's been happening since day one. The card works, performs fine.
I'm just worried about a bad cap and it taking out my AGP slot.
