6800 GTO problem with NV5 Silencer

I ran into a small problem which i did not expect hehe. The 6800 GTO has another pci cover slot attached to the one it's self. And i'm tryin to install a Nv5 silencer... anyone got any tips on how to Remove the extra pci slot cover?

I had the same damn problem with my 6800 ultra. I took my dremel with the cutoff wheel and cut the extra piece off nice and straight. Then i used the grinding stone to smooth it out.
