Now that is hot! I saw the Leadtek at Frys this weekend and couldn't understand why they had over 20 of them on the shelf until I looked at the price. $459.00

Nice score though.

BFG w/ new/old cooler @ Ultra speeds gets up to 83, while running that cool program (rthdribl) for about 20 minutes or so fullscreen

3dMark03 reported 68 after it ran a couple times, but from what I and others here have noticed is after 3dmark is finished the temp drops about 8-10 degrees almost instantly.

However, I live in Texas and I believe the weather conditions here are as close to hell as you can get, i.e. too damn hot......

Why is your sig in AOL speak?

OT: Keep your temps under the 100s and you should be good.

R1ckCa1n your sig is pathatic shows how immature you really are.

what is a normal idle temp for a 6800 nu anyone know; im a little worried

Hmm, I had 66 idle and 90 load at stock settings and stock cooling.

But after I took the cover off and put on a PCI fan I'm getting 56 idle and 80c load. I'm running on a 415 core and 1130 memory and getting 12429 on 3dmark03, but that varies up and down each time I run it.

ok thanks; a little off topic but has anyone heard of problems arising when switching from an ati card to a 6800 while not reinstalling windows or reformatting, cause a friend of mine is getting artifacting in games and 3dmark03 after switching from his 9800 pro to a 6800

my leadtek idles at 53 nomater what(exept today, which it was cold and i had the front(read: intake fans) of my computer against the screen in my open window, it got to 45 :p(my oc'ed proc got to 29, and 54 load). anywhay, normaly it maxes out at 68, enless its a hot day, and then it gets 69. almost never see it brake 70(thats at 420/1.12). might flash to u in a few months

@_pablo: what did you get on the ram befor? should i expect that kinda jump when i flash?

i took apart my GT and put Artic Silver 5 on the core and memory, so far its taken the temp of the core down 8 degrees....wow. anyone having trouble with temps...AS5 is a must.

Leadtek 6800 GT runs at 52 C idle, and never hits 70 C while doing doom 3. Its over clocked to 400/1100 (ultra speeds)
