Every time I set the card to 410/1.1 Ovclk, it runs fine, But when I reboot it goes back to 2D!
Any thoughts on how to keep it where I want it?
Thanks

Every card is different. It's hard to say what you should OC too. Browse the forum and see what others have OCed to... but that doesn't mean yours will get that high.

No no no, The card OvCLKs fine! 3dmark,Aquamark and RTHDRIBL run with nairy a problem. It's just that when I reboot, the card reverts back to 2D settings, Never happened with my other NV cards.

I think its a driver issue. Mine doesn't want to hold its overclock ither when i reboot. It reverts back to stock settings.

You might try RivaTuner or Powerstrip and see if that works better.

If you are having problems getting settings to stick, RivaTuner has an option to get settings to stick on reboot.

did you put a check mark in the box that says to keep the settings on reboot?

It still doesnt work my man.
you can have "use this setting on boot up" or whatever it is and it will not hold...most of the time itll hold the core OC but not the ram OC.
Which is why I got pissed off and had a guy here mod a BIOS for my BFG 5900nu so the stock clock settings were my OCed settings...coolbits for some reason wont hold the OC info....however I havent tried coolbits 2 yet...

coolbits 2 ?

yeah it was a redone version of coolbits a guy did over at NVnews if memory serves right.
adds a couple odds and ends...you may wanna try it :)

NAW, coolbits2 is fine, but that's not your problem.

I noticed when I tried sp2 beta it wouldn't hold the settings either. I did some research on it. It is fickle with various drivers, and I still haven't gotten it to work reliably with coolbits.

I suggest Powerstrip. That way you can quickly overclock it with just a click from toolbar by your clock, then clock it back to normal frequencies for surfing and just being 'on'.

also, when I reverted back to sp1, I noticed that it worked better. Changing bios and all that just to address this issue is really going far out, man. LOL.

You use Coolbits correct? I had to install Rivatuner, then after rivatuner is installed, change the frequences with that. You can then uninstall rivatuner and coolbits will now save your info on reboot.

Enjoy

You did what? lol

They should be exactly the same. Or at least i hope their exactly the same. Have you tried running Driver Cleaner and CAB cleaner in Safe Mode before you install new drivers? I suggest always doing that because otherwise old settings can be left behind from old drivers.

3DGuru has great stuff, don't get me wrong, but he does say that he took out the bloat inside. It's probably my stupid, dum, idiotic miserable luck

Yep DC3 in safe mode, drivers & cab. Don't know if it's needed but I delete it in the administor and my other user as well. Had the same trouble with my 5950U took awhile about 5 reboots for it to stick. Maybe thats what happened,

The E now goes for 45 dollars!
(unless someone lays some clam action on me for the right to use the E, you guys won't be able to afford to use it)
and I'm gonna keep it myself and block the entire web from using it.
