Does this card support SLI????? I didn't think boards had 2 AGP slots? I noticed in the driver panel it has a tab for SLI. I'm pretty sure it doesn't support it but that would be kick ass if it did. LOL
 
No, AGP cards do not support SLI. The driver recognizes that the card's chipset supports the function, but in reality the 6800's in AGP don't even have the connector for the SLI link board. Where PCI-Express cards do.
 
only the PCI-express models supoprt SLI, and there arent any boards with 2 pci-expres x16 slots yet (as far as I know) and the Connector to activate SLI hasnt been released yet either.
 
Other that that dual xeon mobo is there any dual pci-e mobos even on the drawing boards? I just bought a 9800 pro with r360 core to tide me over till then...
 
I've been reading up on this myself... Guess there was another thread, on here, talking about the success/failure on the future of the SLI config for Nvidia.

The SLI is suppose to be used with the PCI-E x16 slot. However, you need dual slots and from what I've read there's only one mobo out there with dual PCI-E x16 slots. I think Alienware will introduce a machine here soon or later with them...And Nvidia is suppose to have some type of special adapter for their up and coming line. By then, I'm guessing you'll see the market with serveral mobos with dual PCI-E slots.
