6800 GT DVD Decoding?

I remember seeing something about how the 6800 GT says that it will do DVD Decoding to take the load off the CPU. But people were saying that it does not work with the 6800 GT or something like that. Well I just got one and I turned on hardware decoding and my cpu load was at about 5-10% does that mean the vid card was working?
