have you upgrade your video card to a new 6800 gt in your main computer, and what brand you got?
 
yea it worth ur money dependin how ur system handle it and the brand. my friend used to own pny 6800gt and disliked it. so he sold it for x800xl.

also my another friend bought evga 6800gt and added nice after market heatsink (zalman VF700-cu and 8 ocz copper bga), and he loved it just like he's holdin teddy bear. :)
 
Just went from a TI4200 to the ELSA 6800GT. Quite a difference :D
Slapped it in last night and started playing playing a few games to see what kind of horsepower it has and it lived up to my expectations.

I'm not religious about benchmarks by a long shot but I installed 3dmark 03 the night before replacing the card and scored around 3000. The new card pulled a 10,200.

Just hoping it has the staying power the TI had and only time will tell that tale.
 
Liked mine so much i have two that are inseperable, literally.
 
that's not bad compared to an ultra, is it? like i don't like to play games above 1024x768, with no smoothing and the other special things (aa/af) this card should play exactly the same as an ultra at 1024x768, shouldn't it?
 
I have had about three 6800GT's over the last year or so. They are pretty sweet cards. The Ultra is slightly faster, but costs quite abit more.

If you can't afford the 7800GTX the 6800GT is still one of the best cards you can buy.

I'll try and grab it today or tomorrow and post my results... Just cant seem to pry myself away from gaming long enough to go for it right now! :D
 
with my bfg 6800gt oc I got like right around 5000 in 3dmark 05 (oc to 400/1100 tho)
I thought it was a great card and loved it... and now I love my bfg 7800gtx = )
 
the gtx is monster fast.
they are gonna have to make games made for geforce 6 series and geforce 7 series, it's getting rediculous.
