6600GT, X700, When?

AGP Version for 6600 and 6600GT will be out in end of this month or next month. I'm waiting for the 6600GT my self :p . kickass card

hmm which do you guys think is better; 6600GT or X700XT? i was looking into the ATi..it seems to perform very well for it's cost. both are PCIe though so i cant get them =( oh well i guess ill just have to get the 6800GT then..oh noez :p
 
Yeah if u turn on AA/AF, you should consider the vanilla.

But since I haven't done much of that (my 8500 was outdated already when I got it), I could care less about AA/AF. I just want frames, and i want it now damnit =D
 
He was speaking of the "bang for the buck" factor.

Not all of us CAN/WANT to spend 349+ for a video card.

<200 is the sweet spot for me.

Honestly, the last month or so since the announcement of the 6600GT/X700series has been the biggest test of my patience. I guess its also different b/c I'm using my own checking acct. and credit card compared to 4-5 years ago when i was dependent on my parents to buy things for me.

I guess with money comes responsibility--and that responsibility in making choices requires great patience...ahhh
 
I will probably get the eVGA 6600GT, then use their trade up program to get a 6800GT next year.
 
You claim you dont care about AA/AF, but you will when you get either of those cards.
Oh and I run my 8500 at 16AF all the time, you realize there is virtually no performance hit right? I wouldn't ever go back to no AF.
It would be a terrable waste if you didn't turn on the eye candy features, because you might as well get a 9800 if you don't care.

Sounds like a good idea :D . Wonder if it'll still be available then? the trade-up program i mean.
 
what do ya think 5900- 6600gt, good upgrade? I don't wanna %*&$ up this time with my shopping skills
