6600GT With No Fan...

To what speed would I need to underclock my GeForce 6600GT video card before I could run it without the fan?

The reason I'm asking is because I only use this card in my HTPC for video playback, and not any gaming, so I don't really need its best performance.

1. Have you considered a Zalman VGA cooler. I think that mike work in your case. They have a decent version w/o a fan. If it is in a MATX case then ignore what I said...

2. Question why do you have a 6600GT for a HTPC if you are not going to game on it?

1. I was actually considering Zalman's VF700 beacause at 18db thats almost inaudible.

2. Mainly because it came with component video output and has purevideo...
 
Why do you want to run with no fan? Noise?
Mine seems quiet enough, but I have a delta on the CPU so prolly wouldn't really notice anyway.
