6600GT AGP Rendering problems

Hi, I need some help with my 6600GT. I got tit last week and it wasnt working properly - showing the strings in character models and just not rendering textures properly. I put it down to a weak PSU, I had a 250w POS.
Today i recieved a shiny new Hiper Type-R 480w PSU and i still have the same problems. I have 100% up to date drivers and directx9.0c installed. I cant understand what the problem is. Can anyone help me?

those symptoms look like what happens when the memory is overclocked to high, or overheating

did you do a clean driver installation?

no third party overclocking utilities running?
 
Clean instillation, might have rivatuner on, ill try and disable it - but even if its on, nothings OC'ed.
 
Which drivers are you using? I remembered reading this awhile back. I've been using these drivers all along and have had no problems yet.

I am using a SiS mobo, i tried those drivers, they didnt seem to work, but i cant remember if i tried them with my old or new PSU. Ill update when i install it.
 
could be a completly different problem but I had something similar with my 9800pro. It artifacted even at the desktop. I spent months trying to fix it, messing with drivers and settings and even pulling all my cd drives out to give it more power. None of that worked and I RMA'd it. Never found out what the problem was, but im quite certain it had to do with faulty memory (on the card of course). The problem was very intermitant.
Dunno if any of that helps, but just save your time and RMA it as it sounds like it isnt a driver problem or a conflicting hardware problem.
 
I uninstalled my old forceware drivers and installed the beta ones on a fresh install and everything is running as it should. Thanks for the help!!! :D
