$650 build?

Hey guys-

My last build from a few years back has tanked out- I think my motherboard is done.

Anyways, I'm really only looking to upgrade my motherboard, CPU, and Ram for an upgrade.

I'm really not that familiar with current hardware, so I thought I'd come here and see if you all had any preferences. I was looking at an i-7 sandy bridge but am not really familiar with much.

The main function of my computing is CG rendering (3-d) and some audio recording. Ram has usually been the issue, so getting some cheap DDR3 seems like the way to go.

Let me know if you have any recommendations! Around 650 for a motherboard, ram, and processor. Though if you all think I should save up some more cash to score a significantly better PC, I'm all ears.

Please answer the following questions:
3) Which country do you live in? If the U.S, please tell us the state and city if possible.
5) If reusing any parts, what parts will you be reusing? Please be especially specific about the power supply. List make and model.
6) Will you be overclocking?
8) When do you plan on building/buying the PC?
9) What features do you need in a motherboard? RAID? Firewire? Crossfire or SLI support? USB 3.0? SATA 6Gb/s? eSATA? Onboard video? UEFI? etc.
10) Do you already have a legit and reusable/transferable OS key/license? If yes, what OS? 32bit or 64bit?
