I was able to get 3300 MHz out of an E6300 at a default of about 1.325 volts under full Orthos load. Temps under load were in the low 60s with the Intel heatsink / fan.
You should be able to get the majority of the possible performance out of a C2D without having to go beyond 1.40 volts when air cooled.
You can probably run 3 GHz at 1.30 volts.darktiger said:I am running 3ghz on 1.3625. I just did not know how low to run my voltage.

Idle: 36°C
Load: 49°C
Ambient: The thermostat downstairs says its 18°C, but it's a bit warmer upstairs in my room.
My e6400 could probably be overclocked even higher at this voltage, but it's already fast enough for my purposes.Cooling is a Scythe Ninja with a Yate Loon D12SL-12 running at 5v. All other case fans are running at 5v.
