64 bit OSes & EFI @ Toms - Excellent read!

I skimmed the article and it seems to get many of the details wrong.

The PAE section is pretty misleading, although the end result is on consumer windows you get 32bit address space - even in PAE. MS explicitly only permitted 4gb ram with pae in consumer windows for driver compatibility... pae is still used for DEP / NX bits.

The section on how much ram you have available on 32-bit windows throws in some vista bashing for the sake of it (and its wrong? my vista system had similar ram available as xp did).

Microsoft is requiring 64bit drivers in order to get 32bit drivers through whql testing for Vista/7 which is a good thing. Otherwise the state of 64bit would be much worse than it currently is. http://www.microsoft.com/whdc/winlogo/Logofaq.mspx Has mention of this.

It seems like the article was written by somebody unfamiliar with the topics trying to write summary sections gathered from random internet posts.

Summary:
Little correct tech content
Incorrect Vista Bashing
Apple Fanboi

Ambientz hit the nail

That article is full of misleading, dated and wrong information. Funny thing is that I do agree with most if its conclusions.
