64-Bit Chrome/FireFox

I know theres a 64-Bit Version of IE, my GF's laptop came with Windows 7 Home 64-Bit, and it had both IE 32 and 64 bit installed, which I think it's cool that Windows 7 64-Bit runs both 32 and 64-bit programs, but anyways, my question is, is there already, or is there plans to come out with a 64-bit Firefox and/or Chrome, I already Know there isn't a 64bit Firefox, but I heard there might be one for Chrome, but when i searched for it on the net, I couldn't find anything, So obviously I was mis-informed, but I wanted to check anyways, and see if there are any rumors going around that they will be releasing one for either of these browsers

Mozilla started building 64-bit a little while ago.

just stick with 32bit, as there's better compatibility with it. why do you need 64bit?

There are 64 bit builds of firefox but a lot of plug-ins don't work for it. There is 64 bit java already and Adobe has 64 bit flash in the works.

its not a matter of needing it, I just wanted to try it out. Figured I might as well try out 64bit versions of the software i use and see what I think.

For what...I think is the question asked above. Do you think web pages will load faster, or look differently? Web-browsers are one of the last software apps that should/need to be complied to be x64. Simply put, there's no need or reason for them, and the very best you can ever hope for, is that they work as well or the same as the x86 browser that is already there and available. Given that, there's really no need or reason to waste time trying it, when you have a working browser already. There isn't any feature, or any web content you'd be missing out on.
