6200 or 9600xt

If it won't be overclocked, 9600XT
For overclocking go with the 6200, get the 128mb one, 256mb is useless.

The 9600XT, just so you know Newegg has a few supposed 256-bit 9800 Pros for around $125. That would be a much better deal considering the price of that 9600 XT.

Get a 6600 GT and spend the extra 50 bucks it will be well worth it.

At stock speeds, the 9600XT should eat the 6200s lunch - that 9600XT (out of stock, tho) is a 4-pipe card with a 500MHz core and 600MHz 128-bit memory. The 6200 is 4-pipes at 380MHz and 500MHz 128-bit memory.

While their might be slight differences between what 1MHz really means on each chip, that 9600XT is still going to have a much higher fill rate and memory bandwidth; it should easily be 20% faster.

Add to the fact that the 9600XT is actually a very good overclocker.
If the 9600XT is a "very good overclocker" then 6200s must be on another scale. :p 6200s typically overclock on the core by 150-250MHz with stock cooling.

Yes, that is an extremely good overclocker. I've seen 9600XT's been taken up by 75Mhz, that's not bad at all....

And thats not even takeing into account the extra 4 pipes just waiting to be unlocked.

If you try ebay you MIGHT be able to get a 6600 for about $100 with some luck. It might be worth looking into.
