600 series ASIC quality?

Just saw that thread in AMD section, wondering what the current gen nVidia cards are like, especially comparisons between 670 vs 680 vs 690.

I'll start, one of my 680's reads 100% and the other reads 97%.


PS. To read ASIC quality download GPU-Z 0.6.2, click on the icon on the top left corner, and then select "Read ASIC quality"

It's probably useless as a comparison to the 500 series or AMD cards, but I just wanted to know if 680/690's generally have a higher ASIC quality than 670's.
 
98.3% for me... whatever that means. This is the first time I head of this thing.
 
I have no idea what this even represents or how important it is actually. Just another way for people to be more paranoid I guess. lol.

It represents the arbitrary number Nvidia or ATI assign a die based on its location and performance figure they are trying to target. Just like it was said before a lower number should have higher leakage, but may also mean a closer to the edge die cut. If everything else were equal a number such as 85% should yield a balance between leakage so you can throw more voltage at it and non faulty transistors from die defects.
